Ruby Kngwarreye was born in 1963. Along with her mother Mary and sisters Lucky, Audrey and Sarah, Ruby was involved in the now universally known “Utopia – a Picture Story” exhibition, where the Utopian artists produced 88 works on Silk – that collection now belongs to the Holmes a Court Collection.

Ruby’ Dreaming include Ngkwarerlanem country which includes wild flowers, Rainbow Dreaming and Women’s Ceremony. Ruby also does “Story Paintings” – scenes depicting aspects of camp life.

Ruby is part of the Morton (Kngwarreye) family of artists from Alyawarre country in the eastern Central desert, approximately 300 kms north east of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.
